No Touch Aviation Weather!

I created this application initially for personal use, driven by the necessity to simplify the process. However, after seeing the utility it provided, there was a demand among my aviation companions as well for its similar simplicity, making it a noteworthy choice for enthusiasts in the industry.

Upon launching the app, users are greeted with an instant display of a comprehensive and translated METAR report derived from the closest weather station. The convenience extends further with the provision of all nearby METAR reports, conveniently organized by important parameters such as Distance or Bearing from the current location, or by chronological order. In particular, the option to view reports from the past hour offers insights into evolving weather patterns. The feature to filter and display only the most recent report from each station with a single tap enhances usability.

Users can customize the reporting range to either 25, 50, or 100 statute miles, catering to various needs such as cross-country flights. By sorting METARs based on Heading, quick assessments of forthcoming weather conditions become easily achievable.

Interacting with individual station reports within the app provides not only a clear and readable METAR translation but also supplementary data such as Relative Humidity, estimated Cloud Base, Station Elevation, and Density Altitude estimations - all calculated meticulously for user benefit.

It's important to note that all information funneled through this application originates directly from the National Weather Service and maintains regular updates every few minutes. Users can ensure they are working with real-time data by simply refreshing the reports through a simple downward swipe action on the report table.

For seamless operation, a stable Wifi or Cellular data connection is necessary for the fetching of METARs.
